You know the thing about busy-ness? It's a roller coaster. You keep running and never seem to hit the target. It is the pathetic situation we often find ourselves in.
During the week another thing occurred to me. Do you realize the spices added to a menu is very small compared to the food itself. For instance, when you add thyme to rice, it is very small compared to the rice being cooked. Those things that add spice to life often take but just a little time!!! SO JUST DO THOSE THINGS THAT ADD SPICE TO LIFE. Things like:
- Smile
- Kiss your spouse (If you are married!)
- Leave a note for a friend or family
- Sing.(Yes no matter how bad that voice is)
- Take a stroll
- Make a craft (preferably with your kids)
- Put away the social media for a day!!! (and try relating with people one on one)
- Pick up a dictionary and surf through (that's always a thrilling exercise for me)
- Learn a bible memory verse.
- Dance!!!! (that's hilarious i think)
Please add to this list. Remember, we need those things that do not involve much planning and take up little time. I'm waiting....

I had to remind myself that I actually wrote the Joy awaits poem 'cos I am not feeling particularly joyful. I have got loads on my mind. Do I have a witness out there?????????
Alright, pity party is over, let's get back to business. Check out the understanding I want to share on Joy.
Joy is the normal christian attitude. It is part of the fruit of the Spirit. Yes ... love, JOY, peace, patience,Kindness, goodness, gentleness and self control. Being filled with the Spirit is not anti-joy. It is actually Pro-Joy. My definition of joy is a state of gladness, wellness and contentment irrespective of what is happening around.
Situations in life wants to contend for that joy. Believe it or not, your adversary wants to steal that joy from you. You got to keep it!!!
